Sat 21 Aug 2010 – Mon 23 Aug 2010 WHITBY REGATTA 

 
 

Whitby Regatta is three full days of entertainment, embracing yacht racing, rowing races and various free forms of entertainment as published in the official programme, finishing with a prize presentation and spectacular firework display.
List of events planned for 2010:
Rowing races, yacht races, raft race, grand baby show, static displays, motor cycle and quads gymkhana, continental market, puppet shows, bouncy castles and trampolines, helicopter pleasure flights, fire and rescue displays, vintage cars, dog shows, vintage tractors, kit car display, fun tug of war, jazz band displays, Army, Navy and RAF displays, Red Arrows, Spitfire air displays, several static displays, lifeboat and coastguard demonstrations, fun run (approx. 2k), grand parade and children’s fancy dress, vintage motor cycle display, treasure trail, sand castle competition, sail past, glamorous grandmother competition, vintage Japanese bike display, radio, press and local television coverage, star parties, local school band displays, face painting, stunt shows and a grand firework displayheld on the Monday to close the event.
